An exceptional project spanning urbanism, nature and art
Inaugurated in September 2022, Plateau de Frontenex embodies contemporary urbanism, combining controlled density, landscape integration and artistic expression, at the gates of Geneva. This innovative project at the gates of Geneva combines architectural quality, energy performance and biodiversity preservation, aiming for an urban setting that is both functional and respectful of the environment.
This Genevan complex of 156 modern and ecological residential units was designed to offer a peaceful lifestyle in harmony with the environment. The brainchild of architect Benoît Frignani of the Anderegg-Rinaldi office, the project offers 2-7 room apartments with balconies and loggias offering breathtaking views of the park, city and lake. THPE (very high energy performance) certified, the project prioritises sustainable materials and exemplary landscape integration..

The SPG Real estate developments department took charge of the project from its inception, overseeing completion in line with economic, environmental and architectural criteria.
The project owner, supported by SPG, initiated an international competition for this standout landscaping project, which was won by the Parisian office of Michel Desvigne. Located in a wooded park, this ensemble stands out through the outdoor spaces devised by Michel Desvigne. Over 200 birches were planted to provide a green setting for the residents.
The support of SPG was strongest in the following areas:
- coordination of stakeholders (architects, construction companies), coordination of the involvement of the different investors
- checking compliance with environmental and energy standards
- management and valuation of the site following completion
The outcome of a collective effort over a number of years, this project illustrates the capacity of SPG to conceive, steer and manage housing complexes at scale with a structured and resolutely contemporary vision.
Finding and managing tenants
Besides steering the project, SPG took over the rental management of Plateau de Frontenex, which involved efficient marketing of the residential units and optimal service to new tenants.
Alternative urban living
Plateau de Frontenex offers an alternative style of urban living, where green spaces and high energy performance go together.
The project’s environmental commitments:
- 156 ecological residential units with THPE certification
- over 200 trees planted bringing freshness and natural light
- sustainable architecture with environmentally friendly materials
- outside spaces conducive to biodiversity
The entire project was designed in a spirit of environmental simplicity, while guaranteeing an exceptional lifestyle to the residents.
Art at the base of the buildings
Plateau de Frontenex goes beyond environmental performance: it also offers an artistic and cultural experience on the outside. Three major works created especially for the site enrich its visual and emotional identity.

A work inspired by plant growth rising like a plant in full growth.
