Marie Barbier-Mueller
Co-CEO


Co-CEO of Société Privée de Gérance (SPG) since January 2023, Marie Barbier-Mueller stands out for her entrepreneurial vision and her taste for excellence.

With a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and a Masters in Environment and Development from King’s College, she combines expertise in business management with a passion for sustainable development.
After an initial experience with Solar Impulse between 2014 and 2015, she joined SPG Partner in Zurich in 2016, before joining SPG in 2018 at the invitation of her father, Thierry Barbier-Mueller.
Five years later, she co-managed the company alongside her sister Valentine Barbier-Mueller and chaired its Board of Directors. She is active on the boards of SPG’s two subsidiaries, SPG One SA and Prorenova SA.


Marie is a co-founder of the Family Business Network Switzerland, reflecting her commitment to promoting family businesses in Switzerland. She is a member of the Foundation Board of ForPro, whose objectives of supporting vocational training she shares. She also sits on the Economic Council of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG). Attached to her family heritage, she co-founded Les Muses BM with her sisters and cousins, a jewellery brand inspired by unique ethnic pieces from the family museum collection.


The mother of two young boys, Marie attaches great importance to balancing her professional and personal life, finding inspiration in reading, cooking, travelling and sport.

Valentine Barbier-Mueller
Co-CEO


Co-CEO of Société Privée de Gérance (SPG) since January 2023, Valentine Barbier-Mueller embodies a bold, modern vision of family entrepreneurship.

A graduate of King’s College London, with a major in Philosophy and an option in Film Studies, Valentine completed her studies with a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ESADE in Barcelona.
She began her career with Solar Impulse, before joining Codementor in Taipei as Community Manager, where she developed her skills in Mandarin and international community management.
Recognised for her strategic vision, Valentine joined the management of SPG in 2019 at the invitation of her father, Thierry Barbier-Mueller. Four years later, she co-managed the company with her sister Marie Barbier-Mueller.

A member of the Board of Directors of SPG, she is also active on the Boards of SPG’s two subsidiaries, Prorenova SA and SPG One SA.
Committed to Geneva’s economic fabric, she sits on the Board of Directors of Banque Raiffeisen Villes et Vignobles genevois.
Active within the Family Business Network International (FBN), she has supported the new generation of family entrepreneurs as vice-president of the Next Generation (NxG) leadership team.
Passionate about arts and culture, Valentine co-founded Les Muses BM, a jewellery brand inspired by ethnic pieces in the family museum in Geneva, with her sisters and cousins in 2016.

As the mother of a young daughter, Valentine combines her professional and personal life, drawing inspiration from reading, yoga, kitesurfing, film and travel, all of which enable her to approach her projects with a constantly renewed vision.
