As the result of a competition organised by the Foundation for the Promotion of Affordable Housing and Housing Cooperatives (FPLC), Cooplog, in partnership with SPG Asset Development, surface rights were granted to a parcel of land located in the heart of the neighbourhood, launching the development of Adret Pont-Rouge, just a stone’s throw away from the first CEVA railway station. The topping out ceremony took place on March 28, celebrating the completion of this major undertaking.
The 64 mixed-income and public housing apartments, as well as 477 m² of commercial space, will be put on the market by Cooplog Pont-Rouge in the second quarter of 2020. Work on the project, designed by Geneva architectural firm Lopes & Périnet-Marquet, was monitored by the Construction Management team at Designlab Construction, under the supervision of Asset Development.
With regard to energy-efficiency, the building will be in compliance with High Energy Performance standards and will be up to 90 percent powered by renewable energy through the use of geothermal probes.
