As a leading player in social diversity, SPG actively contributes to the efforts undertaken in the Lake Geneva region to meet the demand for social housing by developing expertise in the management of this type of properties: low-cost housing (HBM), mixed housing (HM), low-income housing (HLM) and housing cooperatives. We currently manage more than 1,000 HBM and HLM properties, as well as approximately fifty cooperatives.
The cooperative is an intermediate form of housing between traditional rental and ownership. The cooperative owns the building and assumes responsibility for it; the cooperators are tenants, but they participate in decisions and elect the board of directors. The management of social housing and housing cooperatives requires not only long-term planning, but also in-depth skills in the field of real estate management. With extensive experience, we advise our clients on the legal and administrative procedures inherent to the management of public utility buildings, particularly in relation to questions of state subsidies.
We provide our clients with full support, from the constitution of a real estate cooperative to its daily management, including the organisation and establishment of a board of directors, an annual general meeting, monitoring decisions, as well as the definition of financial and environmental strategies.
Managing social buildings and housing cooperatives is a direct extension of the philosophy of our group.
