Since its creation in 1960, the Société Privée de Gérance has multiplied its initiatives in favor of sustainable development, a major strategic axis of our company.

On Friday, February 11, the SPG award for Sustainable Development 2021 was presented by our department dedicated entirely to Energy & Environmental matters in collaboration with the Institute of Environmental Sciences (ISE) and the University of Geneva (UNIGE). This prize was created in 2013, following the launch of the CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Energy Management, initiated by the ISE and the UNIGE. Previously, it aimed to reward an energy management project in a building, both private and public, or a large-scale edifice, developed during the course of the program. In 2019, the award was extended to the entire field of continuing education in environment and sustainable development.

This year’s prize was awarded to Fruzsina Homolka for her diploma thesis “The future of mobility is data – Route Planning in consideration of real time multimodal data“. This work is part of a project aiming to improve the efficiency of mobility in Switzerland, contributing in particular to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The award ceremony took place in the presence of the laureate, Ms. Fruzsina Homolka, Mr Anthony Lehmann, Vice-Director of ISE, Mr Yaniss Guigoz, Head of CAS Geomatics for Sustainable Environment, Mrs. Marie Barbier-Mueller, Member of the Board Directors of Sociétée Privée de Gérance and the esteemed members of our Environment & Energy team.

The event was captured in pictures and concluded by an evening aperitif.

Congratulations to Mrs. Fruzsina Homolka for winning the SPG award for Sustainable Development 2021  and a big ‘thank you’ to the participating students for the quality of their work as well as to the members of the jury for their time and deliberation.

See you in 2022 for the next edition!
