Co-CEO of Société Privée de Gérance (SPG) since January 2023, Valentine Barbier-Mueller embodies a modern and bold vision of family entrepreneurship.

A graduate of King’s College in London, specializing in philosophy and an option in film studies, Valentine also holds a Master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from ESADE in Barcelona. She began her career at Solar Impulse before joining Codementor in Taipei as a community manager, where she developed her skills in Mandarin and international community management.

Known for her strategic vision, Valentine joined the management of SPG in 2019, at the invitation of her father Thierry Barbier-Mueller. Four years later, she assumed the co-management of the company with her sister Marie Barbier-Mueller. She is a director of SPG and sits on the Boards of Directors of SPG’s two subsidiaries, Prorenova SA and SPG One SA.

A committed member of the Geneva business community, she sits on the Board of Directors of Banque Raiffeisen Villes et Vignobles genevois. Active within the Family Business Network International (FBN), she has supported the next generation of family entrepreneurs as vice president of the Next Generation (NxG) leadership team.

Passionate about arts and culture, Valentine co-founded, in 2016, with her sisters and cousins, les Muses BM, a jewellery brand inspired by the ethnic pieces of the family museum in Geneva.
