Co-CEO of Société Privée de Gérance (SPG) since January 2023, Marie Barbier-Mueller stands out through her entrepreneurial vision and passion for excellence.

With a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and a Master’s degree in Environment and Development from King’s College, she has combined business management expertise with a passion for sustainable development. After cutting her professional teeth at Solar Impulse between 2014 and 2015, she joined spg partner in Zurich in 2016, before joining SPG in 2018 at the invitation of her father, Thierry Barbier-Mueller. Five years later, she co-managed the company alongside her sister Valentine Barbier-Mueller and chaired its Board of Directors. She sits on the Boards of Directors of SPG’s two subsidiaries, SPG One SA and Prorenova SA.

Marie is co-founder of the Family Business Network Switzerland, reflecting her commitment to promoting family businesses in Switzerland. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of ForPro and shares their objectives of supporting vocational training. She also sits on the Economic Council of Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG).

Committed to her family heritage, she co-founded a jewellery brand with her sisters and cousins inspired by unique ethnic pieces from the family museum’s collection, les Muses BM.

A mother of two young boys, Marie attaches great importance to work-life balance, drawing inspiration from reading, cooking, travelling and sports.
