Still owned by the founding family, SPG has offices strategically located offices spanning the Lake Geneva region, covering the entire Lake Geneva region. Founded by Jean Paul Barbier-Mueller in Geneva in 1960, SPG begins life as a specialist in managing institutional rental property portfolios and constructing properties for social purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

SPG progressively expands its business activities by leveraging modern management methods, a solid local presence, strategic diversification and targeted acquisition of agencies. SPG launches the magazine L\u2019INFORMATION IMMOBILI\u00c8RE as a company showcase. Published three times a year, it addresses contemporary topics, including the economy, politics, architecture, the arts, travel and culture. It ranks amongst the leading publications in French-speaking Switzerland with circulation of 115,000 copies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1988<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPG consolidates its position in the real estate market in French-speaking Switzerland through the acquisition of Nyon agency Rytz & Cie, a leader in the Vaud Riviera area. This merger reinforces SPG\u2019s regional presence, establishing its reputation as a key player in real estate development, management and brokerage in the Lake Geneva region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

An idea competition, the \u2018Concours d\u2019id\u00e9es SPG\/HEPIA\u2019, is created at the initiative of Thierry Barbier-Mueller in partnership with HEPIA, the Geneva School of Engineering, Architecture and Landscape. The objective is to allow the architects and landscape designers of tomorrow to propose the development of an area in Geneva, often an undervalued one, in order to change the way it functions or the way it is perceived.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In keeping with its vision of providing comprehensive, specialised real estate consultancy services, SPG creates two dedicated subsidiaries as part of its development strategy. The first, SPG One, which is affiliated with Christie\u2019s International Real Estate for French-speaking Switzerland and Gstaad, is dedicated exclusively to luxury real estate. The second, Prorenova, specialises in construction management and is active in the areas of building renovation, energy-efficient renovation and vertical expansion projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With five years\u2019 experience working alongside their father, they take the reins to manage the group with a modern, dynamic vision.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

SPG consolidates its identity, operating under a new brand. This repositioning enables SPG to remodel its governance, which is now structured by centres of expertise over the entire Lake Geneva region, offices spanning the Lake Geneva region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPG\u2019s Nyon office moves to bright, modern facilities at Rue de la Mor\u00e2che 9, right in the city centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018SPG Literary Prize\u2019 expands its horizons with the launch of the \u2018SPG Prize for Literary Creation\u2019 in partnership with the Department of Public Education, Training and Youth (DIP) in Geneva. Each year, it rewards three young authors from Geneva for a work of fiction written as part of their high school exit exam, with an individual grant of CHF\u00a0700.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
